"Yeah, it`s four years already, well it`s four years of fun but serious business also." one of them says."But the last years are one of the best years" the Bootlegs tell me, besause they have just finished recording a CD, they have been the support-act of a Dutch Rock `n Roll band the Bintangs and in a few weeks they go record and play on TV.
"Well after Trailerpop where we made lots of friends and we became a bit familliar in the region of Rotterdam, and we feel like this is just another chance to do that again and see if it works out" Bootleg says. The three years of gigs has made Bootleg more a band because they had to deal with a lot of things you sometimes just don`t want to happen like
last year Laurens had a wound on his righthand so he couldn`t play for like 2 weeks and we had to cancel a gig. But things like equipment have been a problem for many times too like: a thing on the drums had broke, we had no bassamp, a guitaramp broke down and it mysteriously took unknown long time to get it fixed (the guitar amp). But there are many nice things too like: meeting new people, experience things you have never dreamt of. Playing in a band is more than just having before each gigs we make a huge organisation because we need people to have fun and say wow this one was ever better than the last show!
Bootleg on being on the road.
Being on road makes us feel a lot more free, when we leave we always feel pretty excited about it all. But after a few hours the bordom strikes and on the road we try to keep eachother company by making weird sounds, and sing popsongs in our own versions.
At a stop we are always happy to get a smoke or to buy some food and we buy the most food on the road food like: cookies, ice-creams, chips, sandwiches or we go to Mc Donalds.
On the ride back we ussally sleep all the time because everyone is tyred of playing and the preformance, but our driver/roadmanager always stays awake.

Bootleg on "The Blair Witch Gig"
We were the first band to start of the series of gigs. But it was a lot of fun meeting bands like: The UpToNoGoods and W.E.S.P.
The gig had as main topic Blair witch (a documentary), and the hall was dressed like that.
On the gig we decided to play some more underground covers like: Beautiful People and Creep. But we also played our own Bootleg songs but one speciallity was: we played a song for a good friend of us (Flop R.I.P.).
The crew made recording of the evening, too bad the soundboards were old and dirty so there was no good sound recorded. But anyhow the band and we had fun.
